In addition to the new maze - Toy Factory, we have added some new shows. One of our shows is the Shocking Sideshow of Freaks. Don't try this at home! <img src="http://cfpl3.cagreatamerica.com/_upload/blog/Blast.jpg"/> It's all real - freakish acts that take the human tolerance for pain to new levels. 7 foot 3 inch, George the Giant and Michael Todd will amaze you as they exhibit their out of this world act of torment and anguish using fire, sledge hammers, swords and anything else they can get their hands on. The maniacal factory workers are manufacturing a variety of disturbing new toys and novelty items for their demented amusement, using any part available, including human parts. Buyers beware as your favorite toys have now been turned against you, or you&#8217;ve been turned into one of them. This will take our maze total to 6. Only Inside Track has all of the details on this new project that has been kept a secret for over a year! During a sit-down interview with Bill Lentz, the Park's General Manager, he gave us all of the details and what to expect when Game Time opens to guests this Memorial Day Weekend! Me: Why was a Sports Bar chosen for this project? Lentz: "This new project is very unique to the Park as it offers a different outlet for guests to take a break from all of the excitement, and relax, while still being entertained." Me: What will make this venue a "Sports Bar"? Lentz: "The interior design will feature giant sports pictures, decals, and memorabilia from different sports and teams. There will also be a dozen High Def T.V.'s that will show different sporting events, so that our guests can follow their favorite teams throughout the day." Me: What will be served in Game Time? Lentz: "Game Time will be serving different types of snacks such as churros, candy, popcorn and packaged foods. As for beverages, we will have our soft-drink options as well as different types of beer and wine." Me: What has happened to all of the Game-O-Rama games? Lentz: "We have designed Game Time so that 2/3 is the seating portion and 1/3 is an arcade that will feature popular games. All of the other games have been re-located throughout the Park." Me: So, how is the project coming along? Lentz: "Game Time is scheduled to be open by Memorial Day, but it is looking like we might open the week before." Me: That sounds Great! I can not wait, not that I will be on the clock or anything when I experience it. The contest consisted of 10 contestants battling it out to see who could eat the most funnel cakes in 10 minutes! The winner of the contest would set the world record. At our contest, over 200lbs. of funnel cake was prepared and served just how it would in the Park (consisting of the cake portion and lightly covered powdered sugar). Over $5,000 was at stake, as the first place winner would receive a cash prize of $2,000&#8230;written on a giant check :) ! <img src="http://cfpl3.cagreatamerica.com/_upload/blog/start-web.jpg"/> With a count-down from the crowd, the contest started! <img src="http://cfpl3.cagreatamerica.com/_upload/blog/Dunking-web.jpg"/> The professional eaters used a technique known as "dunking". And - the red is fruit punch mix - not strawberry topping. <img src="http://cfpl3.cagreatamerica.com/_upload/blog/In-Pain-web.jpg"/> Ouch! Looks like fun to me? No really? <img src="http://cfpl3.cagreatamerica.com/_upload/blog/Winner-web.jpg"/> When all was said and done, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut took home the top prize after eating 5.4lbs of funnel cake! That is about 1 funnel cake per minute. <img src="http://cfpl3.cagreatamerica.com/_upload/blog/Winners-web.jpg"/> From left: "Humble Bob" Shoudt, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut, Pat "Deep Dish" Bertoletti and Erik "The Red" Denmark.
